• • Concurrent anticoagulants (Centella may potentiate)
• • Ama-predominant conditions (Snigdha preparations may increase Ama)
• • Kapha-dominant wounds with excessive discharge
• • Deep puncture wounds requiring surgical intervention (Jarahat Naafiza)
• • Wounds with active hemorrhage — stanch bleeding first
• • Known allergy to Aloe or Compositae family
• • Do not apply to eyes
• • Intestinal obstruction
• • Inflammatory bowel disease (latex)
• • Concurrent cardiac glycosides (electrolyte loss)
• • Pregnancy (latex is abortifacient)
• • Children (latex)
• • Aloe latex (anthraquinones) — avoid oral use in pregnancy
• • Kidney disease (oral use)
• • Concurrent cardiac glycosides (oral latex — potassium depletion)
• • Topical: discontinue if irritation occurs
• • Latex (yellow layer under skin) too strong for children — use only clear inner gel
• • Kabam excess with cold, oozing wounds (Katrazhai's cooling nature may aggravate)
• • Known allergy to Aloe latex
• • Deep puncture wounds (gel may seal surface trapping infection)
• • Pregnancy (latex is purgative)
